70% Pass 2006 Petroleum PE Exam
NCEES and the State Engineering Boards released their 2006 Professional Engineering Exam results in February. Nationwide, the Petroleum Engineering Exam recorded a 70% pass rate (highest nationwide). The Petroleum first time takers passed at a phenomenal 93%. The estimated pass rates of a few other engineering disciplines were:

What are the requirements to take the Petroleum PE Exam? Today, Oklahoma requires that you have:
1. An engineering, math or science degree.
2. Passed the Fundamentals, or EIT Exam.
3. At least four years of professional experience.

The Oklahoma application deadline to take this years PE Exam is June 1, 2007. This year’s test will be given on Friday, October 26, 2007.
